Unfortunately, I am addicted to TikTok. However, I deleted it because I realize I waste way to much time on the app and it isn’t good for my mental health or productivity. I am trying to minimize my overall screen time in general, but when I am bored and want to be on my phone and just zone out for a minute I have been using duolingo. I took Chinese all throughout high school and it was my favourite class in the whole world which says a lot because I struggle with school and getting excited about my classes. I have been wanted to start taking lessons again, but I do not have time with work and school. I get happy when I take my duolingo lessons because I realize I remember more than I thought and I don’t think it will be as difficult as I expected to get back to the level of fluidity I once had. I get excited at the idea of being able to connect with more people I have a language barrier with. I also really want to go to China one day, but I want to to it when I am in a good place with my Chinese so I feel like this is an effort in the right direction
