I recently saw a clip of a documentary where cats were part of a prison program. Instead of putting unwanted cats down, people in prison were given the opportunity to have a cat and take care of them. I thought this was such a good idea because it was saving the lives of innocent animals and placing them with someone who wanted to be their companion and love them. The people in prison liked the program because it gave them a sense of purpose and even helped them finding employment after serving their time. I have already talked about this on my blog before, but I love when people have creative ideas using animals to help people improve their health.
